See the latest Australian WHS statistics, and you'll note that musculoskeletal injury is very high in terms of costs to industry. We not only need to implement systems to control this risk, we also need to change worker behaviour. Decades of research have indicated that the most effective injury prevention methods are found in elite sport. These methods involve the measurement of an athlete's movements using wearable technology and analysis of the data collected to identify injury risk and guide action to reduce risk. This technology (validated by leading universities) is now available, allowing you to accurately identify injury risk (as a process or people problem) and then proactively manage these risks in a cost-effective way. MWS has partnered with Preventure Pty Ltd to offer you wearable solutions developed using sports science and research conducted over 15 years in conjunction with elite athletes, to reduce musculoskeletal injury risks. Our service uses that same method in the workplace to measure the worker’s movements. With the worker wearing 2 sensors we are able to identify the injury risk, and provide feedback to change their behaviour to reduce their injury risk. These programs can be run remotely! Monitor Workplace Safety has partnered with Preventure to provide our clients access to innovative remote injury prevention technology. Sign up today for your pilot program. We will support you in making sure it's a success.
Through our reseller partner arrangement, we are offering a free 12 month subscription to WHS Monitor's COVID-19 immunisation register module to monitor testing, vaccinations, boosters and manage related actions.

training and refresher training for Elevating Work Platforms
Successful participants will be issued with a EWPA Yellow Card
The term elevating work platform (EWP) is quite broad as there are many types of EWP, Vertical Lifts, Scissor lifts, Boom Lifts, Trailer Lifts, Truck or Ute Mounted, even EWPs mounted on Telehandlers. Some require Licences whilst others only require evidence of training/competency.
A EWP that is self-propelled is also known as a MEWP (mobiling EWP).
The only EWP where a High Risk Work Licence is required is a Boom Type EWP (where the boom length is 11 metres or more) – so generally to operate a self-propelled boom-type EWP, a trailer or truck mounted boom where the boom is 11 metres or more, a Licence to perform High Risk Work class WP is required in all jurisdictions in Australia.
This course is for operation of EWP that do not meet the requirements for a high risk work licence. The course cost per participant is $440.00 and is aligned to RIIHAN301E Operate Elevating Work Platform. There are no pre-requisites for entry other than participants must be aged 18 years or older, have the ability to read and write in English. The course duration is approximately 4.5 hours depending on the EWP and number of participants, and is conducted on your site (you will need to have access to a EWP) and covers the following elements of competency:
The program consists of theory (power point presentations and a video) and practical operation with assessments along the way. All participants receive a detailed workbook. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a photo ID style Elevating Work Platform Association of Australia Yellow Card which is valid for 5 years from date of issue.
Group size for the theory component is dictated by the venue size. Maximum ideal group size for the practical component is 6. For planning, we will need to know numbers per group, EWP model/make
